Job Summary:
The IT Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the IT support team's daily operations, focusing on optimizing helpdesk functions and enhancing the end-user computing environment. This role includes managing IT projects, maintaining network systems, and ensuring that technology resources meet the company's strategic goals and user needs effectively.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise the IT support team, providing leadership and direction to ensure efficient operation and timely resolution of IT issues.
• Oversee the IT ticketing system, ensuring all issues are resolved promptly and user satisfaction is maintained.
• Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure streamlined operations and effective service delivery.
• Coordinate with the Director of IT to support network and system infrastructure, including regular updates and upgrades.
• Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support of all hardware and software based on department needs.
• Handle IT project management duties from planning through execution, ensuring projects meet deadlines and budgets.
• Assess and recommend new technology solutions to improve user productivity and system reliability.
• Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide reports on helpdesk operations, system performance, and project status to senior management.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement of technology resources.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, staying updated on industry trends and introducing innovations that enhance IT operations.

Supervisory Job Duties:

• Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of IT support staff.
• Evaluate team performance, providing feedback and coaching to ensure high levels of performance and professional growth.
• Address employee concerns and resolve issues in collaboration with Human Resources.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in IT management or a supervisory role within an IT department.
• Strong background in IT support services, network administration, and project management.
• Experience with IT compliance and security systems.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in managing Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, IPv4, and network security protocols.
• Skilled in using IT service management tools (ITSM) and understanding of Active Directory and group policy administration.
• Experience with remote support tools, anti-virus software, system imaging, and desktop backup solutions.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work long hours, including occasional unexpected overtime.
• Capacity to sit for prolonged periods while performing computer-related tasks.
• May require up to 5% travel, including short notice travel.
