Job Overview
As an Associate Director of Data & Analytics, you will grow and lead a team of analysts across high-profile clients and work cross-functionally with other agency disciplines. You will work to manage resources, implement process improvements, and provide mentorship and guidance to a tight knit team consisting of data analysts, sr. analysts, media strategists, and buyers. You will work to deliver valuable actions that drive clients' business results.
To be successful, you come equipped with a broad background in media marketing performance analytics, with an emphasis on Digital paid media. You have a curious mindset and want to find all the answers to ours and clients' business questions, no matter how small. You will have the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of clients' marketing and media investments through data-driven recommendations and decisions.
You work well under pressure but appreciate any downtime that allows you to plan ahead. As one of the team leads, you will play a key role in defining new ways and refining existing processes that allow for the most effective and efficient means of achieving the best outcomes, both for the agency and its clients.

Job Responsibilities
  • Participate in creating measurement plans and develop learning agendas across THIRD EAR's roster of high-profile clients
  • Anticipate and understand client's needs to proactively develop recommendations and solutions
  • Distill large and complicated sets of data into digestible reports and narratives
  • Transform general media questions to return meaningful answers with minimal guidance through insightful data storytelling tools and techniques
  • Liaison between internal and external teams toward achieving holistic and meaningful insights on time for all scheduled and ad hoc deliverables
  • Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms when presenting key insights and findings to clients, along with internal and external senior leads
  • Recommend and implement research/tests that will aid in the consumer insight gathering and strategic processes
  • Develop and execute actionable test & learn plans to define, size, and measure relevant media metrics (including, but not limited to channels, audiences, tactics, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve processes to continue advancing the D&A discipline at THIRD EAR
  • Present reports, points-of-view (POVs), and other materials to various stakeholders, including key, senior clients
  • Oversee and manage the workload and output of a team of Sr. Analysts and Jr. Analysts while providing them with mentorship to help to grow their skillset across D&A
  • Partner with various agency discipline leads to pitch organic growth opportunities among existing clients and prospective clients who may benefit from D&A services

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications to be in this role are:
  • Minimum 7 years of work experience in a quantitative data driven field; management experience required
  • A passion for digital marketing, research, and analytics
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital ad effectiveness within and across channels
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ad technologies and research techniques (how they work and how to troubleshoot)
  • Ability to move beyond descriptive analytics and employ more sophisticated techniques (predictive and prescriptive analytics)
  • Experience with data processing/visualization platforms (Datorama, Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, etc.)
  • Knowledge of coding languages (SAS, SQL, Java, R, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with database design and platforms (Azure, etc.)
  • Experience with ad-serving and web analytics tools Google DFA, Atlas, Google Analytics, Omniture, etc.
  • Experience managing either direct reports or overseeing junior team members
  • Past working relationships with senior clients as it relates to D&A workstreams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical ideas to multiple audiences both verbally and in writing
  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, engineering, information management or other quantitative field preferred
