Job Description

Salary: $24.00 per hour

Family owned "Wine Importer / Distributor" located in the Richmond area is seeking a "Delivery Driver". This is a full time position with full benefits and standard hours working Monday- Friday.

Delivery Driver Responsibilities:

Loading, unloading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
Accepting check payments and obtaining client or customer signatures.
Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
Preparing documents relating to deliveries.
Operating equipment such as trucks, forklifts, etc.
Communicating and coordinating with Warehouse Supervisor, office staff and other team members to make deliveries.
Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
Following best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading. a.

Delivery Driver Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Clean driving record (MVR will be required).
Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
Strong time management and customer service skills.
Ability to read, write and communicate efficiently in English.
Manual dexterity, visual acuity, reaching, bending, and lifting and moving up to 50 lbs.
Minimum 1 year experience as a delivery truck driver required.
Experience in the Beverage Industry a plus!
Must be over 21 years of age
