Job Description
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000

The Finance and Accounting Manager is an independent contributor responsible for oversight of the company’s financial assets and activities. This position is primarily responsible for supporting the ongoing financial health of Simbex through managing and coordinating Simbex’s billing process/AR, journal entries, financial compliance, audits, taxes, projecting and forecasting, and general analysis and accounting. This position provides financial consultation to company leadership and works closely with the Business Operations Manager. 

 
Note: This is a hybrid role based in Lebanon, NH, on-site schedule is flexible. While we are open to those interested in both part-time and full-time, this position requires full time hours at least during the first week of each month (for our billing process). 
  

Key Responsibilities  

  • Creates, maintains, and communicates accurate financial information, including financial statements, balance sheets, revenue vs expense reports, and ad-hoc/recurring reporting for use by company leadership and project managers;
  • Oversees all facets of the accounting cycle, financial statements, general ledger, bank reconciliations, bookkeeping, journal entries, and audits; 
  • Maintains systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization; 
  • Maintains compliance with financial guidelines, policies, and procedures; 
  • Manages cashflow process and tracking; 
  • Oversees the coordination and activities of necessary annual financial audits;  
  • Manages customer billing and all accounts receivable activities;
  • Works with Simbex parent organization to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including taxes;
  • With Chief of Staff, responsible for establishing function-specific quarterly and annual goals and for ensuring those goals are implemented for continuous improvement;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.  

  

Qualifications  

  • 5 years of experience in accounting and/or general finance; 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must;
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is a must; 
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Degree and/or certification in finance or accounting related field preferred.
