Freelance to Perm multimedia video designer

Tzumi Electronics is seeking a Full-time on-site, multimedia video designer to join our fast-growing team in New York, NY.

This role is for a talented Digital Multimedia Designer highly skilled in After Effects, Premiere and Photoshop creating videos and motion graphics. Must have strong skills including but not exclusive to:

• Editing
• Motion graphics
• Timing
• Color-correcting overall and skin tones
• Retouching
• Rotoscoping
• Tracking
• removing/adding objects in footage
• SFX
• Reformatting
• Composition/layout

Basic Knowledge of camera lighting and on-set experience is a plus.

 Responsibilities:

• Design and resize digital and video projects on multiple brands
• Research industry trends to present ideas and concepts for timely digital innovation
• Create beautiful and engaging videos, animations and motion graphics
• Edit videos to targeted length and specifications
• Handle and organize raw and edited video files
• Export videos and facilitate mobile and web platforms
• Explore different versions and directions
• Ensure compliance with brand standards
• Adjust formats and file sizes as needed
• Proof and perform QA on all PDP staging links; edit assets as needed
• Maintain impeccable file & template organization.
• Communicate with team and cross-functional partners as to where assets can be found as needed.
• Strong coordination with Creative, Brand and Digital Marketing teams are a must!
• Confirm assets specs and accurate compression and naming conventions for SEO

Requirements:

• BFA/BA in Design, Digital Design
• 3-5 years of experience as a digital/video designer
• Retail experience on an eCommerce-focused design team, preferred
• Expert Proficient in Adobe CS Suite Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop. Figma experience is a bonus
• Mobile-first mentality
• Understanding of design layout, typography, information hierarchy and slicing
• Strong photo retouching skills for the ability to replicate across digital mediums.
• Ability to color-retouch image assets in some instances
• Keen eye for clean design and ability to execute tactical direction both flawlessly and efficiently
• Knowledge of post-production and retouching process
• Organized files and layers within software
• Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve within design/time constraints.
• Ability to function in fast-paced environment and juggle multiple responsibilities/projects at the same time.
• Self-motivated, passionate about design in general and collaborative approach to work
• Skilled in Motion graphics
• Ability to select and use music to match the tone and style of the story.
• Team-player
• Can-do attitude is key.
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Must have excellent time management skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Microsoft outlook
