Job Description

Job Title: Director of Operations

Reports to: Chief Operations Officer

Location: Louisville, Colorado- In office position

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Director of Operations to lead our client service department, and our client experience.

Director of Operations Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Compliance Management: Ensuring that the firm complies with all relevant regulations and laws governing the financial industry. This involves staying up-to-date with changes in regulations, implementing compliance procedures, and conducting regular audits.

  2. Workflow Optimization: Developing and implementing processes and procedures to streamline operations and increase efficiency within the firm. This might involve automating tasks, improving communication channels, and optimizing resource allocation.

  3. Technology Management: Overseeing the firm's technology infrastructure, including software systems used for portfolio management, client communication, and reporting. The Director of Operations may be responsible for selecting new technology solutions and ensuring that existing systems are properly maintained and updated.

  4. Client Servicing: Working closely with client service teams to ensure that clients receive high-quality service and that their needs are effectively addressed. This may involve resolving client inquiries, managing client onboarding processes, and overseeing client communications.

  5. Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating operational risks that could impact the firm's operations or its clients. This might involve implementing internal controls, monitoring for potential risks, and developing contingency plans.

  6. Vendor Management: Managing relationships with third-party vendors and service providers that support the firm's operations. This includes negotiating contracts, evaluating vendor performance, and ensuring that vendors comply with contractual obligations.

  7. Reporting and Analysis: Generating reports and conducting analysis to track key performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. This could involve analyzing operational data, monitoring financial performance, and preparing reports for senior management or regulatory authorities.

  8. Oversight and management of Client Service Team: Ensure the client service team is trained and equipped to provide high quality service, and ensure efficient execution of firm processes and procedures. Monitor teams performance and conduct regular performance reviews.

Director of Operations -Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years or more of financial services or brokerage experience preferred, with strong business and investment acumen.
  • Proven experience in a leadership capacity, with the ability to motivate and manage individuals and teams.
  • Previous experience working with an RIA or hybrid RIA.
  • Technological proficiency and the ability to help us adopt and change technology at the firm level.
  • Ability to balance producing strong results with proper risk management, with a strong compliance record in previous positions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
  • Excellent communication skills, highly professional, and experienced in creating and presenting information at various levels of the organization.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented, with demonstrated knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.), CRM management, and cloud storage.
  • Preferred candidate will have current operations and compliance experience and has previous advisor experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base pay ranges from $80,000 to $120,000 based on experience and skillset, plus bonus.
  • Paid time off, 401k with a company match, and health insurance benefits provided.
  • This is an in-office position.
