Accounting Associate

Essential job responsibilities

This position is responsible for all accounting, financial reporting, and sales and property tax reporting to external agencies. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and great attention to numerical and important details. Additional job responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

· Assists the team to ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.

· Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

· Assists team with daily bookkeeping and verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.

· Helps with general ledger maintenance by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.

· Works on collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.

· Assists auditors and team with providing audit information requests

· Adheres organization’s confidentiality policy and procedures.

· Files sales and use tax, property tax on monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.

· Engage with client and team members to obtain and review information

· Identify and process new information in connection with growing business needs

Qualifications - External

· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting

· The willingness and ability to work additional hours, as needed, and travel to various client sites

· Proficiency in QuickBooks (Enterprise and Online) - 2 years of experience required

· Experience in public accounting - 2 years required

· Strong accounting background

· Experience with SAP

· Excellent analytical, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills

· Strong technical aptitude and skillset

· Demonstrated project management skillset including project planning and time management

· Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment and independently

Location Requirements:

· Must be authorized to work in the United States with no sponsorship/visa required

· Must be able to work in the office
