This is a full-time, direct hire (not contract) position. The salary range for the position is between $60k- $72k annually plus a competitive benefits package. This is a hybrid schedule (3 days in office and 2 remote) and every other Friday off!
The Designer is primarily responsible for preparing accurate, detailed drawings of mechanical and electrical parts and components using 3D software. The ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of how to calculate lengths, areas, and volumes accurately in order to prepare designs alongside engineering.

Responsibilities:
- Design complex electro-mechanical systems using CAD software, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, maintainability, and safety.
- Prepare accurate detail drawings of parts and components.
- Calculates lengths, areas, volumes, and weights accurately.
- Creates accurate and complete bills of material.
- Create accurate and complete requisition packages.
- Create detailed technical drawings, including schematics, assembly diagrams, and 3D models.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and other engineers to ensure design integration and adherence to project specifications.
- Develop and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs) and other design documentation.
- Perform design calculations and analyses to verify the functionality and efficiency of the system.
- Stay updated on relevant engineering standards and regulations (NEC, UL, NEMA etc.) and ensure designs comply.
- Participate in prototyping and testing phases, identifying and troubleshooting any issues.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing teams during production.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical design
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
- Must complete tasks on time and on budget
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and oversee the work of others
- Computer proficiency: AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD P&ID, Autodesk Plant
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
