Pay Rate: Up to $55/hour

About the Opportunity

Our client, a nationally recognized research and engineering organization, is seeking a Mechanical Designer with strong NX experience to support ongoing engineering and development projects. This is a long-term onsite contract opportunity offering exposure to complex, cutting-edge technical programs in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed mechanical designs, layouts, and engineering drawings using Siemens NX.
  • Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project teams, and manufacturing personnel to support product development initiatives.
  • Modify and update existing designs based on engineering change requests and project requirements.
  • Ensure drawings and models comply with applicable engineering standards and specifications.
  • Support prototype development, testing activities, and design reviews.
  • Assist in resolving design-related issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and revision control for all design deliverables.

Required:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of mechanical design experience in an engineering, manufacturing, research, or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency with Siemens NX for 3D modeling and drafting.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, manufacturing processes, and engineering drawing standards.
