This opportunity offers flexible hours and the potential for a long-term, ongoing working relationship.

Responsibilities

  • Support mechanical drafting and design efforts for engine-mounted power systems and related components.
  • Design and refine sheet metal packages and enclosures for mobile, vehicle-mounted, and marine power generation systems.
  • Modify and update existing SolidWorks assemblies to incorporate design improvements and new requirements.

  • Experience developing manufacturing drawings with appropriate dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication details.
  • Experience creating weldments and mechanical assembly drawings.
  • Strong mechanical design skills with attention to detail and manufacturability.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks within a flexible, part-time schedule.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with fabricated equipment is preferred.
  • Experience with vehicle-mounted products is preferred.
  • Bracket design experience is a plus.
  • Experience in new product development is a plus.
  • Interest in building a long-term, ongoing relationship as a regular SolidWorks design resource.
