Job Description

Our client is a non-profit organization. They seek a temp to perm Accounting/Billing Associate to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

Reconcile governmental billing worksheets to corresponding cost centers
Submit billings and re-submissions through funder portals
Assess and verify all billed expenses are within the correct accounting period
Utilize government funder billing guidelines and cost manual to maximize reimbursement
Prepare journal entries and allocation adjustments to ensure balanced budgets
Monitor and track billing and payment information
Gather adequate backup documentation to fully support claims
Propose and assist in the preparation of budget modifications
Complete other related duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
2+ years of relevant billing experience preferred
Able to successfully manage multiple projects under deadlines
Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
Able to use an in-house PC-based accounting system
Advanced expertise in Excel and Word
