Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Dispatch/Load Planner. The Dispatch/Scheduler will be coordinating routes with delivery drivers.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage company driver dispatch start-times to avoid lateness.
- Track and locate drivers provide speedy broker updates.
- Maintain business relations with company drivers, brokers, customers and other professional partners.
- Help ensure company drivers have daily logs and that company vehicles comply with DOT regulations.
- Track and collect paid-on-delivery (POD) and bill-of-lading (BOL) invoices to ensure accurate completion for submission to company finance.
- Interact with freight agents and utilize broker boards to schedule and book loads for picked up (must be focused).
- Promptly respond to internal and external emails to provide operational updates (must be focused).
Requirements:
- Bilingual - fluent in English and Spanish preferred
- Good with directions and planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Excellent organizational skills
- Positive, “can-do” attitude
