Job Description

Optima Diagnostic Imaging (ODI) is seeking a full-time Imaging Supervisor for our Beverly Hills location. ODI is a comprehensive outpatient imaging center offering MRI, CT, Digital X-Ray, PET/CT, and Ultrasound.


The ideal candidate will have Supervisory experience leading a team of technicians overseeing day to day operations. This role requires close work with the Front Desk Supervisor to ensure best-in-class patient care and highly efficient workflows.


Responsibilities


• Oversee day to day operations of back of house.

• Monitor scans assuring high quality, and following established departmental and QA protocols using independent judgment and initiative.

• Organize work priorities and adjust as circumstances require.

• Interview, hire, schedule techs, manage performance evaluations, timecard reconciliations, staff education, coaching, development, support and promotion of customer relations, and monitoring of activities to ensure performance standards are achieved.

• Compile statistical and QA data as needed. Reviews exam for quality, providing input back to staff regarding technical factors, and need to repeat images.

• Coordinate and problem solve scheduling/patient care needs.

• Accommodate all add-ons in a timely manner. Coordinate with personnel of other departments regarding patient and/or staff related problems.

• Maintain exam protocols and or techniques to assure maximized exam quality and, as appropriate, exposure levels, minimizing the need to repeat imaging.

• Manages supplies for all modalities (e.g., contrast); make recommendations concerning the purchase, maintenance and/or repair of equipment.

• Produce high quality images as needed following established departmental and QA protocols, to include protocol parameters or proper labeling, and patient ID.

• Revise, develop, and implement departmental procedures; communicate necessary changes to affected staff and departments.

• History of strong technical expertise, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and quality standards.

• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed.

• Train and mentor staff on imaging techniques, safety protocols, and patient care.

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate interpretation of imaging results.

• Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and results obtained.

• Stay up to date with advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques.

• Keep all team members informed regarding internal issues and external developments.

• Exhibit objectivity and openness to other's views; demonstrates ability to balance team and individual responsibilities.

• Respond professionally under pressure.

• Assist with developing strategies to achieve individual and business unit goals. Advocate change to maximize effectiveness and efficiency. Assist in preparing operating budgets and effectively analyze performance against those budgets.

• Assist with the overall financial performance of the center/department.

• Performs technologist duties to maintain technical skills and to alleviate staffing shortages (as applicable).


Qualifications


• 5 years experience as an Imaging technician

• 2 years experience as a Supervisor of Imaging technicians

• Strong knowledge of various imaging modalities including sonography, X-ray, PET, CT, and MRI

• Proficient in anatomy knowledge and physiology principles related to medical imaging

• Excellent technical skills in operating imaging equipment and software; PACS knowledge preferred

• Strong leadership abilities with the ability to effectively manage a team

• Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and patient

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and critical thinking skills

• CRT license/certification

• Must possess or obtain Venipuncture Certification

• American Registry of Rad Techs (Required)

• Cert Radiologic Technologist (Required)
