Higher Ground Youth & Family Services is a nonprofit mentoring program that broadens the base of support for educational experiences in a safe and constructive environment. Our programs are created through partnerships with schools and local community resources to provide ongoing education ensuring that after school hours continue to be learning hours as we engage our youth in a wide variety of educationally enriching activities. Position Summary
Higher Ground is hiring a Clinical Supervisor to oversee our behavioral health team. This position will supervise practicum students, interns and graduates working towards their licensure, and will be responsible for providing clinical experience within the parameters of the trainees degree and level of experience. As a dedicated and empathetic leader with strong relationship building skills, this person will help supervise and counsel Higher Grounds behavioral health team members as part of a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical supervision, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and supportive work environment.

Essential Duties
  • Provide weekly clinical supervision (both individual and group) to practicum students as they engage in individual counseling, couples counseling, family therapy and group counseling.
  • Review client cases and provide guidance on treatment planning, intervention strategies, and crisis management.
  • Supervise clinical staffs casework, assist in the achievement of goals and objectives and track contract requirements as agreed upon with academic partners.
  • Serve as clinical liaison between administration and behavioral health staff.
  • Oversee the documentation process using Therapy Notes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct periodic audits of clinical documentation to maintain compliance with organizational policies and external regulatory standards
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops for staff on topics related to clinical practice and professional development.
  • Collaborate with other members of the leadership team to implement quality improvement initiatives and ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical services
  • Help build relationships with school sites that provide MFT or MSW trainees and assist in onboarding new behavioral health staff.
  • Ensure consistent and quality training in best practices, clinical compliance with State and Federal regulations and established standards across our organization.

Required Education & Experience
  • Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work or related field.
  • LMFT, LPCC or LCSW with current California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) registration.
  • Supervisory CEUs (BBS approved).
  • Mandatory HIPAA training.
  • Professional experience required, knowledge of a nonprofit environment a plus.
  • Ability to speak Spanish and experience serving youth is preferred.

Physical Demands
The following physical requirements outline the necessary capabilities for an employee to effectively carry out the essential duties of this position. In the execution of job responsibilities, the employee will frequently engage in verbal communication and auditory perception. Additionally, this role mandates precise visual acuity, including the capacity for close-range vision and the ability to focus as required. Tasks may also involve lifting files, accessing filing cabinets, and occasional bending or utilization of a stool for standing purposes. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Compensation
The Clinical Supervisor role is a part-time (approximately 20 hours per week), non-exempt position based in Anaheim, CA with the opportunity for some hybrid flexibility. Compensation for this position falls within the range of $45 to $70 per hour, depending on experience. Occasional local travel within the Orange County area is required for this position.
