Optometrist $110K-$140K+  

Location: Durango, Colorado

We are looking for a full-time associate to work Monday thru Friday.  Hours vary slightly by day but usually an 8 hour day from about 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The practice is not open on the weekends. The salary would be $110K-$140K depending on experience and pay rate. We have paid on a day rate or a production rate depending on the doctor's skills, experience and comfort levels. We have a strong medical focus so the applicant would need to be well acquainted with care for glaucoma, macular degeneration, keratoconus, etc. We have a large contact lens practice and would need someone with strong contact lens skills with the ability to fit hybrids, gas permeable and scleral contact lenses.  The applicant must have good computer skills and understanding of billing codes. We do have digital phoropters in 6 of our 7 exam lanes so some experience there would be helpful but we can train. 

Regarding benefits, we have major medical insurance (company pays 50% of premium), AFLAC benefits and a 401K with 4% match.  We have reciprocation for dental with the dentist located in our building for exam/cleaning once a year and 20% off all other procedures. Vacation and holiday pay are also included. At renewal times, we will cover costs for state licensing and DEA fees, $500 toward CE as well as AOA/COA dues. 

We have a strong staff of 15 with well-trained ophthalmic assistants, opticians and administrative support.
