Senior Program Master Scheduler

Overview

The Senior Master Scheduler will lead Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) planning, development, execution, analysis and reporting for programs and manufacturing operations. The individual will report to a Program Manager. This opportunity will initially be part-time, 25-30 hours per week, with the potential to go full-time.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the development and management of a program/ project and manufacturing schedules and resource plans using MS Project
• Support the Program Manager in the definition of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) based on contract requirement
• Collaborate and communicate with the engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams on IMS development and status to ensure data accuracy, and work to resolve any inconsistencies
• Analyze schedules by performing Critical Path Analysis and provide critical path impact reports with recommended conflict resolution actions.
• Support the Program Manager in tracking program and manufacturing project costs based on the IMS and technical requirements
• Advise management of execution risks that may affect project revenues, cost and schedules
• Review all subcontractor and vendor change requests and advises Program Managers of any schedule impact of proposed design changes
• Provide weekly / monthly program status updates including Earned Value Performance as appropriate
• Support other duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience with Program Planning utilizing Microsoft Project
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project required
• Must understand the various contract types, i.e., Cost Plus, T&M, FFP and ensure that all requirements of the prime contract are understood
• Experience with Earned Value Management System (EV/ EVMS) desired
• Demonstrated experience in using MS Office suite products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Must have demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
• Must be able to plan and organize time to work productively and efficiently while being able to adjust to changes in priorities and schedules
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
• The ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend, stretch and lift up to 10 pounds occasionally
