Role: Sales Assistant, TV Distribution
Compensation: Base ($47,000-$52,000 range) + Overtime ($8,000-$9,750) + Performance-Based Bonus (up to $3,000)

As a Sales Assistant within the TV Distribution division at FIFTH SEASON, you'll play a crucial role in supporting sales activities for the Americas region. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll provide administrative assistance while contributing to the smooth operation of the Los Angeles distribution sales office. Your responsibilities will include sales support, client communication, meeting preparation, market research, event support, and administrative support. We're looking for a proactive individual with excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a genuine passion for the entertainment industry.

Role Responsibilities:

Sales Support
  • Assist in sales efforts for the Americas region by effectively managing communication channels and facilitating the flow of information between internal teams and external clients.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure seamless deal processing, including the timely preparation and distribution of contracts, invoices, and other necessary documentation.
  • Monitor the progress of deals and proactively identify and address any issues or bottlenecks that may arise, working closely with senior leadership and stakeholders to resolve them efficiently.

Client Communication and Meeting Preparation
  • Generate comprehensive client reports utilizing sales data and market insights to facilitate informed decision-making and strengthen client relationships.
  • Prepare high-quality presentation materials for meetings, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Assist sales executives in researching and understanding client needs and preferences to tailor presentations and proposals effectively.
  • Play an active role in ensuring sales executives are well-prepared for client interactions by providing them with relevant background information, briefing materials, and logistical support.
  • Attend client meetings alongside sales executives, taking detailed notes, and providing follow-up support as needed to ensure client satisfaction and address any outstanding concerns or requests.

Market Support and Research
  • Organize and manage schedules for key market events such as MIPCOM, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to optimize participation and maximize exposure.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats, providing valuable insights and recommendations to inform sales strategies and decision-making.
  • Assist in the execution of marketing initiatives and promotional activities during market events, working closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment with overall objectives and messaging.

Administrative Support
  • Provide administrative support to the SVP, including managing scheduling, calendar, expenses, and travel arrangements with a high level of efficiency and professionalism.
  • Extend administrative assistance to other Americas sales executives as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in handling diverse tasks and priorities.
  • Proactively contribute ideas and suggestions for improving departmental performance and streamlining processes, leveraging your knowledge of administrative best practices and industry trends.
  • Take initiative in handling ad-hoc projects and assignments, demonstrating resourcefulness, attention to detail, and a results-oriented mindset in delivering timely and high-quality outcomes.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in media/entertainment, with a focus on client communication.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior managers.
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and analytical abilities.
  • Familiarity with the TV industry and product rights licensing.
  • Genuine passion for entertainment content and a desire to grow within the industry.

Preferred:
  • Experience in entertainment sales, distribution, or acquisitions.
