About This Role:

Role Overview: Universal Consulting Services (UCS) a subsidiary of Tria Federal (Tria) is seeking a talented Financial Systems Analyst! The person in this role will support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division, Business Directorate (Code BD31). 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, program, budget, execute, and report status of funding.  Includes EOM execution reviews and narratives with strict deadlines to meet
  • Brief leadership with monthly status of funds/execution.  And include/communicate all tasking with the Team Lead.  Daily analysis of execution and engagement with assigned Code and BD31 leadership is expected as necessary
  • Pull on a regular basis, ERP execution reports to compare budget with actuals.  Create NWAs.  Be able to use ERP to research customer inquiries and research to resolve execution issues.  Daily or as necessary
  • Review travel authorizations for LOA/NWA completeness and validate funds are available then approve.  Urgent travel requires immediate approval and 1-2 days approval for routine travel
  • Review for RGs P-Card, MILSTRIP, SAP, and OFD submissions for completeness, and validate NWA is accurate and funds are available, then approve as a Financial Approver.  Urgent requires immediate approval and 1-2 days approval for routine submissions
  • Enter labor transfer request in LOCUS, attached appropriate KSDs, and one of the Lead PAs will approve.  Complete immediately as soon as the transfer is identified to reflect in the EOM reporting
  • Submit NLTs timely and provide all appropriate KSDs to Accounting.  Complete immediately as soon as the transfer is identified to reflect in the EOM reporting
  • Perform weekly review of the Undistributed Labor report from the Payroll Office when available, identify labor suspense issues, and communicate with the applicable PAs for valid NWA to utilize, then email Payroll the file for corrective actions
  • Communicate and gather KSDs from the CORs, TPOCs, and external customers as the Tester. Deadlines are assigned by the Comptroller Office on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Contact customers as appropriate to commutate the issues for resolution and follow-up once a week until Unmatched Disbursements are resolved
  • Clean up aged documents to review and validate to close-out as necessary. Deadlines will be provided by the Lead PAs and BD31 supervisor
  • Assist PAs with all the above tasking as needed

The “Need-to-Have” Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office Tools
  • Advanced Excel skills - knowledge of financial formulas, ability to link workbooks, and ability to create pivot tables
  • Experience with the following software:  ERP, DTS, COBRA, PRT, ADVANA, Teams, IFD Tool, and LOCUS

B.S. in Accounting or Finance 

Clearance:


Must be a US Citizen with an Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Years of Professional Experience:


Minimum of 2 years of applicable Federal financial management/accounting or Financial Statement auditing experience


The “Nice-to-Have” Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP)

The projected compensation range for this position is $78,000 to $82,000 (Annually USD). The estimated compensation represents the standard salary range for a position of this kind, reflecting just one factor of the comprehensive compensation structure and benefits package offered to Tria employees.
