Permit Specialist or Permit Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Permit Specialist to join a fast-paced team here at Florida Wall Concepts! You will be working directly in the permitting department. You will be responsible for working/submitting with city or county building departments and permit portals, updating customer records and plans, communication between departments is key, compiling and managing customers engineering designs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Create job folders within our database and add documents to the correct job folder.

Collect all documentation and signatures from customers that are needed for submittal.

Processing and completing data entry for each specific job.

Record Notice of Commencement and Notice to Owner for all jobs.

Communicate with Building Departments and update permit portals, revisions, and corrections needed.

Scheduling inspections for the permits when requested.

Keep track of all permits and notify team and customers when permit has corrections, is approved and issued.

Work closely with the team to find ways to improve processes and make it more efficient.

Qualifications and Skills:

1-year preferred experience in Permitting.

Computer and technical skills for permit creation.

Computer and technical skills for researching, scheduling, completing documents.

Detail oriented.

Understands commercial construction processes.

Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, supporting our customers.
