Sales Manager

Job Summary

The Sales Manager’s primary role is to generate leads and drive sales by nurturing relationships with our customers. The Sales Manager is a high performing sales professional who is the driver to meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. He/She is responsible for maximizing our sales, crafting sales plans, and justifying those to plans to the upper management.

Reporting

The Sales Manager reports to the President of A-Team Custom Construction.

Job Responsibilities

  • The sales manager generates and manages all new leads.
  • Meets with A-Team customers for initial introduction, sales proposal submittals, sales revisions and follow ups.-both
  • Coordinates with the Materials Manager and Office Coordinator on Subcontractor and Material pricing.-both
  • Generates assigned sales proposals.- both
  • Facilitates the weekly Sales Review Meeting to confirm the labor and materials cost for all new quotes.
  • Works alongside Office Coordinator to submit estimates to customers.-both
  • Manages project revisions and quote adjustments as discussed with the customer before project start.-both
  • Ensures a successful project transition from sales to operations during the Upcoming Project Review Meetings, by presenting budgetary goals, complete work scope and all other deliverables.-both
  • Helps with the role of assisting customers with their product selections and generates the final selection sheet.-gerry
  • Coordinates the timely delivery of products for upcoming projects.-gerry & DJ
  • Assist Foreman and attend pre-job, on-site walkthroughs.-both
  • Assist with retail sales duties.-both
  • Assist with marketing activities.-both
  • Generates frequent market analysis to identify market trends, competition, new products, and customer target groups.-both
  • Reviews architectural plans for completeness and communicates any missing details to architect and/or owner before handing over to Materials Manger for materials bids. Will also notify the Office Coordinator on which subcontractors will need to be solicited for bids.-both
  • All other appropriate job duties as needed and assigned.
  • Create new subcontractor relationships (fancy it up)-both

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.

Preferred:

  • Leadership, project management skills

Physical Requirements

  • Stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • See details of objects that are more than a few feet away.
  • Be physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath.
  • Understand the speech of another person.

  • See differences between colors, shades, and brightness.
  • Focus on one source of sound and ignore others.
