As an experienced Control Engineer, you will provide a comprehensive controls engineering service, focusing on PLC Siemens control systems to ensure optimal operation within our manufacturing facilities. Your role will be crucial in maintaining and enhancing equipment functionality and production continuity, adhering to high standards of efficiency and compliance.
- Coordinate and optimize PLC Siemens control systems for manufacturing operations.
- Undertake and lead training programs on electrical engineering and control systems.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of plant equipment, meeting production and budgetary targets.
- Assist in planning, installation, commissioning, and monitoring of new equipment and systems.
- Maintain an effective inventory of essential spare parts in collaboration with the engineering and stores managers.
- Contribute to capital project planning and execution as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and legislation.
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations for improving plant operations and cost-efficiency.
- Maintain meticulous documentation and administrative order for all control engineering sections.
- Conduct safety and induction training for new hires and visitors.
- Participate in professional development and keep abreast of industry advancements.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of experience as a Control Engineer with technical, hands-on expertise in automation hardware and software.
- Proficient in programming and operating PLC Siemens (Simatic S7-1500), HMI Siemens WinCC, and VFDs (Sinamics, SEW, Lenze).
- Strong understanding of PLC control system architecture and field control devices; Siemens systems preferred.
- Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and European schematics.
- Skilled in online code monitoring, modification, and development.
- Demonstrated ability in system start-ups, loop tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Preferred: Training and certification from Siemens.
