Laboratory Technician at VRL Laboratories

Vrl Laboratories in San Antonio, TX is looking for one laboratory technician to join our 4 person strong team. We are located on 7540 Louis Pasteur, Suite 200. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS:

• Responsible for having a broad working knowledge of lab policies and assays.
• Conducts pre-designed assays using basic laboratory techniques and skills.
• Independently conducts assigned test procedures within constraints of lab scheduling.
• Receives samples from courier, addresses discrepancies, & logs the necessary information into the testing system.
• Follow SOPs and relevant compliance regulations regarding safety procedures, documentation, and scientific responsibility.

Qualifications

2 year of experience as a Labortory Technician

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with staff and physicians

Experience processing specimens

Ability to handle laboratory testing

Running and approving CBCs

Experience processing, running and reporting CBC results.

Specimen analysis of all Chemistry, Hematology and Immunology specimens

QC Documentation

Experience processing specimens

Ability to update records with clear documentation.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays. Compensation is $34.00 - $50.00/hour.
