Laboratory Manager | Tulsa OK

$65K-$90K Annual Salary

Direct Hire


The Laboratory Manager is responsible for ensuring full compliance with CLIA and COLA requirements while overseeing daily laboratory operations. This role provides regulatory leadership, operational oversight, and hands-on technical support to maintain high-quality testing standards and efficient workflows across all laboratory sites.


Key Responsibilities


Regulatory Compliance (CLIA & COLA)


* Oversee compliance with CLIA and COLA standards.

* Prepare and maintain required documentation including monthly QC reports, maintenance logs, proficiency testing records, calibration and linearity reports, corrective action plans, and technician competency records.

* Serve as the designated representative during CLIA and COLA inspections.


**Laboratory Operations**


* Lead day-to-day laboratory operations.

* Operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation as needed.

* Support sample processing and ensure timely turnaround of results, including same-day reporting when applicable.


Test Validation & Quality Assurance


* Develop and execute validation studies for new assays prior to patient testing.

* Utilize EP Evaluator for statistical analysis and reporting.

* Maintain high standards for quality performance and documentation.


Policy Development & Staff Training


* Develop and update laboratory protocols and policies to ensure regulatory compliance.

* Train staff on proper equipment use and procedures.

* Maintain technician training and competency documentation.

* Stay current on regulatory and industry updates.


Operational & Financial Oversight


* Recommend strategies to improve efficiency and control costs.

* Analyze historical data to determine staffing needs, operating hours, inventory levels, and budget planning.


Leadership & Communication


* Collaborate closely with the Laboratory Director to ensure timely submission of documentation for monthly review and sign-off.

* Establish staff schedules and manage personnel resources.

* Ensure timely and accurate release of laboratory results.


**Safety & Compliance**


* Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations.

* Document non-compliance and implement corrective actions.


**Additional Duties**


* Perform other responsibilities as assigned based on operational needs.
