Job description

Catalent's Greenville, North Carolina site is a major oral solid dose development and manufacturing campus, delivering endtoend, turnkey solutions from formulation development through commercial manufacturing and packaging. The site specializes in oral solid dosage forms, supported by integrated formulation expertise, comprehensive analytical services, and scalable manufacturing capabilities designed to support both commercial products and potent or targeted therapies, including orphan drugs. Backed by more than $100 million in recent investments, the Greenville operation features fitforscale infrastructure, potent handling capabilities, and a strong regulatory track record, making it a critical part of Catalent's global network for advancing complex oral drug programs from development to market.

We have an opportunity for a Laboratory Intern to join our team. In this role, you will maintain data integrity and follow good documentation practices while performing experiments. You will compare laboratory data against specifications, ensure proper use and care of calibration standards, and follow internal procedures to maintain accuracy. You will also enter data into established systems and work under the guidance of a mentor to complete assignments.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7am - 6pm, 15-20 hours a week minimum, four hour work blocks
Location: Greenville, NC
100% Onsite

The Role

  • Maintain data integrity and follow good documentation practices during experiments
  • Compare laboratory data against specifications to determine compliance with requirements
  • Ensure proper usage, care, and return of calibration standards, including reference standards, timers, thermometers, and instrumentation
  • Follow method and standard instructions and adhere to internal Standard Operating Procedures to ensure accuracy and avoid repeat testing, deviations, and investigations
  • Enter data into established reports, templates, or software-based systems
  • Complete assignments under the guidance of a mentor

The Candidate

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related discipline
  • Must be located within 50 miles of the Greenville, North Carolina site to be considered
