JOB SUMMARY
NCH Interns are dedicated and enthusiastic students seeking practical experience in a dynamic healthcare environment. The intern will work closely with medical professionals and administrative staff to support various departments, enhancing their understanding of hospital operations and patient care. Interns will participate in hands-on training, engaging in various projects that will contribute to both their professional growth and the efficiency of our facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

โ€ข Assist in the daily operations of various hospital departments
โ€ข Support healthcare professionals in patient care activities
โ€ข Engage with patients and their families, providing necessary information and assistance
โ€ข Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
โ€ข Help maintain patient records and documentation
โ€ข Assist in organizing and coordinating healthcare events
โ€ข Conduct research and gather data to support departmental initiatives
LABORATORY QUALITY & COMPLIANCE INTERNS are typically students with an interest in Medical Laboratory Science/Clinical Laboratory Science, Public Health, Health Admin, Industrial Engineering/Systems Engineering, Data Analytics/Health Informatics, or Quality/Process Improvement programs.
Responsibilities may include:
โ€ข Quality & Compliance / Process Improvement: Supports CAP readiness, SOP standardization, audit support, document control, and basic QI projects.
โ€ข Laboratory Operations & Analytics: Supports productivity/volume dashboards, staffing grid support, workflow mapping, inventory/receiving process controls, and metric reporting (turnaround time, utilization, exceptions).
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
โ€ข Minimum of High School Diploma or G.E.D.
โ€ข Intermediate computer knowledge: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
โ€ข Customer focused team player.
โ€ข Independent judgment is essential in resolving varied problems in compliance with established policies
