As the Company evolves, it is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, the Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting financial and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, cost analysis and decision-making support in our agricultural distribution and eCommerce markets.


Candidate Criteria

Major Areas of Accountability
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Prepare management reports and presentations summarizing financial performance, trends, and key insights for executive-level review. Financial Planning and Strategy: Support strategic planning initiatives by providing financial insights and analysis to assist in decision-making processes.
  • Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts, comparing actual financial results to budgets and forecasts, and providing variance analysis.
  • Prepare short-term and long-term financial forecasts based on market trends, historical data, and business strategies.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision-making processes, including scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.
  • Analyze financial performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Analyze cost structures and cost drivers to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and research projects as requested by management or stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with various departments, such as operations, sales, and marketing, to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., Master of Business Administration) or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus.
  • 3+ years relevant experience in corporate finance or financial planning & analysis.
  • Public company FP&A or Public Accounting experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) and financial metrics.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to interpret data, perform complex financial calculations, and draw meaningful insights to support decision-making.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively interact with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and executive management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships and influence decision-making processes.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools such as ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft NAV, Business Central), and data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI) a plus.
