DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops manufacturing production/development summary and detail schedules for Stafford Assembly Facilities, including ongoing scenario analysis.
- Active involvement in the establishment of order promise dates and scheduled ship dates for all orders placing demand on the Stafford Assembly Shops.
- Work closely with the Sales department to understand customers’ requirements, resolve customer issues and plan for future workload.
- Oversee production schedules to ensure that customer delivery requirements are met.
- Meet with Sales and Operations personnel to review production planning and to collaborate on various projects and initiatives.
- Runs material and manufacturing lead time analysis, checks for procurement short cycling, or other key constraints and works issues with Production Manager and Shop Supervisors.
- Takes an active role in continuously improving planning methods, processes and tools.
- Participate in a safe and healthful workplace
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s Degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong technical knowledge preferred
Experience/Skills
- In depth understanding of Oracle R12 MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system
- Mastery of production scheduling
- Experience in a manufacturing setting
- Degree or experience in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing/Production, Finance, or Project Management
- Above average Excel skills (including pivot tables, vlookups, graph creation, managing large sets of data)
COMPETENCIES
- MS Projects experience preferred
- Powerpoint presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills
