Leasing Consultant

Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking a Leasing Consultant for an apartment complex in Jackson, MI. The Leasing Consultant greets and assists potential tenants, conducts property tours, processes rental applications, and negotiates lease agreements. Your responsibilities will also include addressing tenant inquiries and concerns, maintaining unit readiness, and fostering community engagement within the apartment complex. This is a full-time contract position with the opportunity to go direct based on job performance, attendance, attitude, etc. Pay Rate: $15.00-$16.00/hr + commissions based on experience. Mon-Fri, 9a-5p.

Responsibilities:

• Answers incoming calls, emails, and face-to-face visits related to sales for prospective residents and service for current residents.

• Greets prospective residents, determines their needs and preferences, and professionally presents the apartment community and specific units while communicating features and benefits both in the office and while touring the community/specific units. Qualifies residents and asks for the lease.

• Proactively contacts and follows up with prospect leads before and after their initial appointments.

• Accurately processes application verifications, completes lease paperwork, and accepts rent payments and deposits.

• Organizes and files appropriate lease paperwork, reports, etc.

• Enters work orders and follows up on work order completion/satisfaction with residents. Notifies maintenance team about issues/emergencies.

• Inspects tour routes, models, and market-ready vacancies to ensure cleanliness and appeal, taking or arranging corrective action if needed. Monitors community facilities i.e., pool, fitness center, laundry rooms, and other common areas, taking or arranging corrective action if needed.

• Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications:

• Ability to create a sense of urgency through immediate follow-up on all prospective leads, setting appointments, and closing on sales.

• Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing.

• Computer and math skills including the ability to learn and navigate web-based applications. Basic skill in computer applications, specifically Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel. Positive and proactive attitude, demonstrating a collaborative work ethic.

• Ability to work independently and as a team member.

• Good multitasking and organizational skills. Ability to thrive in an atmosphere with frequent interruptions.

• Must possess a current valid driver's license.

• Ability to work Saturdays.

• Prior experience in the related field preferred.

• On-time, consistent attendance is an essential function of the position.
