Details of Position

  • This is a Full-Time position
  • Location: This position is based at one of 3 Revolution Foods' offices Boston, MA, Cheverly, MD, and Edison, NJ.
  • Travel: domestic travel1 time per month to the other 2 regional offices. 

Position Summary

As a strategic partner, the Regional Finance Manager is responsible to oversee financial processes and drive growth and profit improvement at Revolution Foods company. Oversite shall include financial, planning, reporting, analysis, pricing, cost accounting, market accounting, inventory control, and cost management. The region controller is a key partner to the Director of Operations of their region and the other functional leaders. 

Major Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare annual budget and rolling forecasts. Analyze and forecast CapEx and impact and/or timing of related expenditures.
  • Review financial data to recognize crucial variances, identify underlying causes, and initiate corrective action(s) to support Operations and sales group(s).
  • Provide guidance to Plant Management to improve performance through KPI analysis.
  • Analyze raw material cost to gain a deep understanding of usage and waste.
  • Reconcile physical inventory and maintain accuracy in transactions and records for all inventory.
  • Design and implement inventory and fixed asset controls and counting procedures.
  • Collaborate with Plant Management to identify cost reductions and track actual savings.
  • Analyze monthly income statements for multiple regional plants and assist with corporate month-end close analysis.
  • Support operations to understand and improve direct cost performance, especially related to production and delivery.
  • Support sales team to evaluate customer opportunities, improve product mix and revenue optimization.
  • Lead financial analysis and pricing guidance for customer bids.
  • Analyze operations and customer profitability ratios and recommend appropriate pricing and contracts.
  • Manage and analyze local KPIs to drive ongoing continuous improvement.
  • Perform adhoc analysis to support key decision-making.
  • Support inventory management to balance service levels, inventory cost, and waste.
  • Prepare ROI analysis on potential capital expenditures.
  • Manage fixed asset records and controls.
  • Collaborate and work with the Corporate Controller for annual audits.
  • Participates in the development and support of the company's strategic plans.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop Team Members to build capability for collaboration and partnership.
  • Work in collaboration with the Corporate Finance and Accounting teams to implement metrics, processes, systems, and best practices to measure progress and ensure consistent practices.
  • Performs other duties as needed. 

Preferred Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred.
  • 3-5 years as a Controller or Finance Manager in a manufacturing, foodservice or distribution related industry.
  • 5-7 years of progressive multifunctional experience finance, accounting or quantitative/analytical function.
  • Cost Accounting and inventory related experience preferred.
  • Experience with General Ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
  • Ability to manage a wide variety of activities and functions simultaneously.
  • Experience working in a food, grocery, retail, and/or service environment is a plus.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Must have organizational skills, be detail orientated and be able to multi task.
  • Strong organizational skills, results-driven, strategic with the ability to execute tactical plans.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Willingness and ability to develop a strong team and to hold others accountable.
  • Must have natural problem-solving capabilities and a positive mindset.
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • A self-motivated professional that is able to work independently and with various teams.
  • Demonstration of skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong technical ability to work with various software applications, including business intelligence programs, financial reporting software and the development of tables, high functioning excel spread sheets, and custom reporting.
