Regional Director-Connecticut

Primary Role:

The Regional Director-Connecticut will be responsible for the company’s activities and client relations in the Connecticut market. This includes oversight of all client projects in the region and coordination with the Business Development Team for developing and closing new project opportunities.

The Regional Director also provides technical advice and support to our clients and staff.

The Regional Director will report to the President & CEO.

 

Principal Duties:

· General:

o Provide oversight and management of all contracted work in the Connecticut market

o Act as a liaison between the sales teams, operations, administrative staff, and the clients in the region

o The Regional Director is expected to spend approximately half time on management and business development activities and half time on project delivery activities.

 

· Business Development:

o Support the Business Development in the management of Direct Services Contracts in the region

o Act as liaison to the clients and represent the company at events, meetings, and trade shows

o Ensure that relationships are maintained with clients and that all corporate commitments are met and that upcoming contracts are acquired

 

 

 

· Program Development:

o Coordinate with and support the VP of Strategic Development in the pursuit of contracts with utilities, corporations, and governmental agencies within and outside the region

· Other duties as assigned

Supplemental Information:

This is a full-time/exempt position based in our Connecticut office but with flexibility to accommodate the needs of the position and the applicant. Salary will be commensurate with experience and reviewed at least annually for performance and opportunity potential. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Energy, Sustainability, Environment, Engineering, Policy, Business, or a related field

· Knowledge of building science principles and practices and its application to high-performance buildings

· Knowledge of single-family and multifamily design and construction principles and practices including building envelope and mechanical systems

· Qualification as a HERS rater, Passive House consultant or green building consultant desirable

· 1-5 years relevant experience with knowledge of energy efficiency policy or programs preferred

· Competencies:

o Works independently, takes initiative,

o exemplary written and verbal communication skills, including crafting and delivering professional narratives and presentations,

o strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail,

o excels at collaboration with multiple teams and disciplines.

 

Other responsibilities/roles to discuss

  • Recruiting, developing and managing local staff (e.g. field inspectors)
