Job description

Step into a mission-driven energy management team making measurable emissions and cost impacts for industrial manufacturers—right from the Chicago area. This Senior Energy Consultant opportunity blends independent technical audits, client-facing consulting, and global project delivery with a small-company culture backed by a large international energy group.


Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Energy Consultant position include:

  • 5+ years of experience in energy engineering, energy management, sustainability consulting, or industrial utilities/process energy.
  • Industrial manufacturing experience is required; consulting/client-facing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of steam, compressed air, chilled water, boilers, HVAC, and electrical distribution.
  • Lead technical energy audits and opportunity surveys; develop concepts and verify energy performance improvements.
  • Prepare energy consumption calculations and top-level financial justifications for projects.
  • Review energy reports to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and energy savings opportunities.
  • Present reports to client organizations and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate delivery of project/consultancy/engineering services, and support junior engineers through training, coaching, and mentoring.


Salary: $110K-$120K base; 4% guaranteed year-end bonus, 5% personal bonus, and 5% company bonus per year.
