Inside Sales & Ops Orders Support Specialist

AmLee Innovations (dba Perigee Direct) is seeking a motivated, confident, self-starting and organized individual with at least three years of Inside Sales or Ordering/Sales Assistant experience preferably in an industrial sales/CS position but not required.

This position will focus on two crucial responsibilities for our growing company:

Responsibility 1) the primary role is traditional inside sales support: receiving inbound and making outbound customer calls to support our existing customers and grow new customers into regular accounts: this includes receiving and entering sales orders, answering/researching/forwarding customer/product questions, generating and sending quotes, following up on outstanding quotes and leads, routing customers to technical experts as needed, helping customers with their occasional questions and issues.

Responsibility 2) Operational Orders Support role, including initiating/ensuring that Purchase Orders are initiated for already-sold product, updating PO’s with shipping ETA’s once approved by suppliers, and helping operations to identify backlog orders that can now ship (b/c of product replenishments)

Primary Role - Inside Sales Specialist:

Outbound Activities: Focused outbound calling to touch base on top customers per scheduled lists and products. Calling large quotation customers touching base on their status. Outbound outreach program at Perigee is never sales/pressure oriented. The outreach program takes the role of trusted advisor and advocate. The candidate can 100% expect to never be subject to ‘quotas’ or pressured to sell product. Our sales philosophy is opposite this.

Inbound Activities: Advocate for our customers, enable and champion their needs with our operations teams, this is the secret magic that helps them have a good experience and helps Perigee internally execute and improve; suggest products and usage information as applicable; forward customer questions to AmLee experts as needed. Processing quotation requests, input orders at times, Advising customers on existing order information requests.

Secondary Role – Operational Orders Support

In the same spirit as the position, Act as an advocate internally on existing/backlogged orders for our customers. Help our customers and operations team by searching/tracking existing backlog orders that can now ship (b/c of newly-received incoming shipments). Also initiating/submitting Purchase Orders for out-of-stock product that we have customer orders against. (all to help ensure timely processing of our customers’ orders). And updating PO’s with shipping ETA’s once approved by suppliers.

Additional Requirements and Preferences:

● Can-Do approach to your work. AmLee is a small entrepreneurial company that rapidly pursues growth opportunities, and consequently our team necessarily wears many hats and must at times perform on tasks that has never been attempted before.

● Self-Starting working style. Must start needed tasks without being told to do them. Some tasks are obvious. must have the confidence and motivation to do those.

● Must have a H.S. Diploma or equivalent minimum.

● Associates/Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.

● Certificates or training in HazMat shipping a plus but not required.

● Knowledge of industrial supply market (commercial adhesives, and mounting equipment) a plus but not required.

● Effective written and oral communications at a business level.

● Intermediate MS Office or Google Office skills (Word & Excel minimally).

● Experience with Salesforce.com software desired

● Ability to learn other back-office & cloud-based software

● TWPM 30 adjusted minimum

Hours Primarily in-office but flexible normal business hours, can be part time or full time. Perigee is based in the metro area of Fort Worth, Texas so all hours are based on Central Standard Time.
