What does a Sr. Financial Analyst , FP&A do?

The Sr. Financial Analyst FP&A will provide quantitative and qualitative analyses of all operational aspects of the fast-growing Americas organization in order to evaluate the company’s progress toward achieving its goals and to map out future goals and plans. The position considers economic and business trends, reviews past company performance, and attempts to anticipate obstacles and potential problems, all with an eye toward forecasting the company’s future financial results.

What You'll do?

  • Analyze complex financial information to identify underlying business drivers and trends to deliver improved profitability
  • Improve the monthly forecasting and annual planning processes for the operational areas of the organization
  • Develop and advance KPI reporting
  • Execute value-added analysis and provide decision support for special projects and initiatives
  • Review and monitor business performance and provide meaningful insights
  • Lead monthly business reviews with senior leadership and joint venture partners
  • Manage and prepare annual budgets and reforecasts
  • Create, update, and maintain financial models
  • Support transformation of the finance organization
  • Develop finance and business presentations that are insightful and actionable
  • Assist with audits and year-end close
  • Deliver continuous process improvement

What You'll Need?

  • Experience creating budgets & forecasts
  • Demonstrated advanced Microsoft Excel financial model development skills
  • Experience synthesizing and communicating analyses and reporting; providing insights to senior leaders
  • Collaborates effectively across internal and external teams, at all levels, fostering empowerment and involvement
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to distil complex issues for understanding
  • Proactive self-starter, capable of adapting to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to organize and manage large data sets, apply strong analytical skills to resolve complex problems
  • Understanding of GAAP

Essential

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive work experience in accounting or financial analysis: or any combination
  • Must be authorized to work in U.S.
  • Desirable
  • MBA a plus but not required
  • Experience with Tagetik and Microsoft Dynamics
  • Hospitality, Retail, or Travel industry experience a plus

Experience supporting headcount/FTE forecasting a plus
