Are you ready to be a vital part of our Maintenance operations? Lavelle Industries is seeking a maintenance Helper to provide essential support tasks to assist maintenance technicians with installing and repairing machines and equipment. The role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities:

1. Gathering and Handing Tools: Maintenance helpers provide tools, supplies, and materials to other workers. They ensure that technicians have the necessary equipment for their tasks.
2. Preparing parts needed for assigned work: Gathers and stages parts needed for PMs prior to scheduled time work is to be done
3. Changing Fixtures: Perform basic tasks such as changing light bulbs and faucets. These small repairs contribute to the overall functionality of the facility.
4. Cleaning Work Areas and Equipment: Maintenance helpers will help clean up after repairs and maintain a neat and organized environment.
5. Assisting Skilled Tradespeople: Support skilled tradespeople in more complex repair tasks. They will provide hands-on assistance, materials, and tools as needed.
6. Building and Grounds:
   • Building modular tables and benches to ensure logistically sound production flow
   • Assist with replacing storage racks
7. Parts inventory: Assisting planner with receiving parts, labeling locations and keeping parts room organized
8. Maintenance Shop: Ensure tools are properly stored and accounted for
9. Mobile Equipment: Scissor lift certification certified capable
10. CMMS: Will capture hours worked in MaintainX

Requirements:

• Communication: Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and practices to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy objects up to 50 lbs., standing for long periods, bending, reaching, and working in various positions.
• Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in using hand and power tools to perform repairs, maintenance, and installations.
• Mobility: Capability to navigate different work environments, including climbing ladders and working at heights
• Stamina: Endurance to handle a full workday that may involve continuous physical activity and exposure to varying weather conditions.
• MEWP: Must possess or be able to obtain certification to operate a scissor lift.
• Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent (or an established plan, currently working toward it); an Associate’s degree in a technical area is plus!
