Maintenance (Technical) Manager

Lotus Bakeries in Mebane, North Carolina, is seeking a Technical Manager who is an expert in leading and overseeing audits. The Technical Manager plans and organizes maintenance and technical improvements to production machinery and installations, utilities, internal transport, and facilities.

The Technical Manager studies, organizes, and plans the execution of certain new investment projects, whether or not in collaboration with other services.

As the team leader of the technical services team of the plant, the Technical Manager is responsible for instilling and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement towards safety, quality, and efficiency. Additionally, the Technical Manager ensures the safety and quality of food products that are delivered to market from our factory. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performance of the technical service team.
• Optimize Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
• Implement a continuous improvement culture.
• Minimize downtime in case of technical defects.
• Contribute to the safety of the plant and zero accident culture.
• Project management of installation of new production equipment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance or technical service.
• Experience with packaging machines is a plus.
• Experience in the food industry is a plus.
• Experience with bakery machines is a plus.
• Experience with packaging materials is a plus.
• Experience with technical aspects of utilities and telecommunications is a plus.
