General Carbide is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to:

• Maintain manually controlled machinery such as lathes, mills, presses and other typical shop equipment
• Troubleshoot and maintain CNC machinery
• Repair and maintain plumbing, physical structure, grounds and electrical wiring/fixtures in accordance with blueprints, and building codes.
• Observe safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Replacement of gear boxes and other mechanical components.
• Perform installations, equipment preventative maintenance; fabricate parts and service mobile equipment.
• Follow verbal instruction, read blueprints, manuals, layouts and other plans.
• Must understand Schematics.
• Knowledge of Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic applications. Electrical, PLC and electrical control systems 120 to 480 volt is a plus.
• Knowledge of CMM software is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Good communication skills
• Ability to read prints
• 3years of experience as an industrial mechanic
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• PLC and automation a plus
• Forklift operations
