Position Summary

The Washer System Maintenance Technician performs routine preventative maintenance in accordance with work instructions, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.

Position Responsibilities - Essential

  • Maintain all company equipment/assets to the highest standard and support company 5S requirements in all areas

  • Participate in shift meetings and continuous improvement activities

  • Pump out, clean out and refill washers with water and wash agents, per an established schedule, to maintain integrity of production process via use of sump pumps, heated pressure washers, cleaning agents and equipment

  • Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, to include seals, gaskets, filters & filter material, magnets, screens

  • Gain access to machinery to add or remove oil/coolant to manufacturing equipment

  • Check and adjust control instruments for washer systems at the direction of Washer Systems Technician 1 or Manufacturing Setup Technician

  • Collect and provide samples for quality to verify fluids are in specified range per manufacturer guidelines

  • Operate material handling equipment to support operations and other areas

  • Scrap/Chips/Swarf management to include removal, dumping, and replacement of filled hoppers

  • Properly report work hours, activities, and inventory usage in SAP work order system and inventory logbooks

  • Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities

  • Based on the nature of the essential functions associated with this role, GreenWood has designated this as a โ€œsafety-sensitiveโ€ position.

  • Fluids Receiving and Unloading Process
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

  • High School diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
  • 6 months maintenance or manufacturing experience

  • Ability to meet minimum vision requirements for operation of a powered industrial vehicle with or without corrective lenses

  • Knowledge of computers with basic computer skills

  • Availability to work any shift and overtime
  • Ability to obtain certification and operate powered lift equipment (forklift, tugger, hoists, etc.)

  • Able to build cooperative relationships and work as part of a team

  • Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s)

  • Associate degree in a technical field
  • 1 year of maintenance experience in a high volume automotive maintenance environment or similar manufacturing maintenance environment
  • Previous experience working with CNC part washer systems
