Pathlabs is seeking an Associate Data Specialist primarily focusing on maintaining existing data, tools, and structures used internally and by our clients. In this role, you will contribute to developing and maintaining  tables, calculations, and data flow, views and configurations. You will primarily focus on supporting the Media Operations teams in developing and maintaining accurate data ingestion and output from our key systems. You will also work closely with the Project Manager - Technical BI and Director of Media Operations to support on various projects related to Media Operations, Business Intelligence and other special projects requiring tables, calculations, and data flow. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership, department heads, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to assist in implementing processes and products to maintain data integrity in reports, tools, and structures. Additionally, you will work alongside other individuals in the Media Operations Department to ensure the successful documentation and implementation of data inputs. Maintaining product documentation for onboarding and training purposes will also be a significant part of your responsibilities.

Location

Headquarters in Missoula, MT. Remote friendly hybrid work model.

Required travel to Missoula, MT on a bi-monthly basis, with the opportunity for additional visits as needed.

Responsibilities 

  • Understand, work with and assist in the upkeep and maintenance of data dictionaries
  • Audit existing data-sources, naming conventions and structures.
  • Place a strong emphasis on maintaining existing data sources, naming conventions, tools, and structures.
  • Collaborate with teams to uphold data integrity in reports, tools, and structures.
  • Support the ongoing implementation and maintenance of processes and products crucial to data integrity.
  • Set clear project milestones, goals and measurement techniques to ensure project success and team compliancy.
  • Help resolve conflicts and issues that hinder progress in maintaining internal data and tools. 
  • Contribute to concise user product documentation
  • Help respond to, troubleshoot, process, and close out relevant support tickets
  • Create and maintain documentation around products for ongoing onboarding, training and support.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Other duties as needed to evolve this position

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the advertising industry and understanding of competitor products
  • Strong project management, organization, and problem solving skills 
  • Supreme attention to detail
  • Fundamental understanding of how modern software applications work

Skills and Requirements

  • Basic understanding of  project management best practices
  • Familiarity with Agile  project management and tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Experience at an advertising technology company is a plus
