We are in the search of a Warehouse Assistant an entry level position with room to grow; that has a positive ambitious mindset to want to move up and forward within the company, to help organize, weigh, pour out, and prepare all raw materials necessary for the manufacturing of products based on batch cards provided.

Responsibilities:

- Review batch card prior to commencing with the pre-weigh process for any questions.

- Verify accuracy of weigh scales.

- You will be making UV & Water Based Flexographic Inks and Coatings used in the packaging world.

- Check raw material status before pre-weigh process.

- Record inventory movement activities by writing down Lot numbers.

- Weigh materials in accordance with batch card requirements.

- Prepare all necessary paperwork: printing out labels in correct format for containers.

- Clean and sanitize all ancillary equipment.

- Report any raw material discrepancies to supervisor.

- Clear all materials from pre-weigh area before commencing onto another batch card process.

- Provide general house keeping to all manufacturing areas as required.

- Learn or be able to drive a forklift (Training will be provided in order to receive proper certification)

Qualifications:

- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Basic use of English Language

- Possess knowledge of proper use of weight scales.

- Detail Oriented with Above Average Organizational skills

- Basic Math skills; must be able to read numbers up to thousandth decimal.

- Has basic working knowledge an understanding of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.

- Ability to work independently, self-motivated.

- Basic computer proficiency

- Adhere to GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and all related safety protocols.

-Willing to work 8 hour days (some may seem longer than others)

Physical Demands

-Must be able to lift heavy loads periodically, (50lbs max)

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand 80% of the time during shift.

- Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time (heat/cold associated with the dock doors being opened in adjoining warehouse department). The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal but can be occasionally loud.

Education/Experience

-High school diploma or equivalent

-Minimum 1+ years experience in a warehouse environment.

- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in batch weighing in ink or cosmetics industry.
