Company Summary: Crossroads is an Arizona Department of Health Services licensed substance abuse treatment provider with proven expertise in serving men, women, and Veterans with Substance Use Disorder through the provision of high quality, successful, and affordable residential and outpatient recovery programs.


Due to federal contracts the following items are prohibited:  Medical/Recreational marijuana, current parole, or probation. 


Job Summary: The Communications and Outreach Manager will direct the communication efforts at Crossroads. The Communications and Outreach Manager will possess strong leadership skills, excellent relationship building and cultivating abilities, an instinct for collaboration, a passion for learning, and a commitment to the Crossroads’ mission.


Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains employees.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the site.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Recommends compensation adjustments.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Involved with handling all employee relation issues.
  • Timecard responsibilities.
  • PTO management.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Manages and directs the activities and work of all of Communications department.
  • Manage the process of development, distribution and maintenance of all Crossroads print and electronic collateral including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures, and online communications, including website, podcast, mass-email newsletters, and social-media accounts.
  • Oversee webpage maintenance ensure new and consistent information (article links, stories, and events) is posted regularly.
  • Responsible for the use of multiple customer relationship management (CRM) database.
  • Organize and attend internal and external events highlighting the Crossroads mission.
  • Oversee efficient and productive internal communications.
  • Maintaining ongoing relationships with community partners.
  • Manage and monitor website: posted content; manage site-driven user inquiries and feedback; review site content.
  • Manage social-media accounts: guide content; engage with followers and other users on behalf of Crossroads; monitor topics and accounts of critical importance to Crossroads; develop recommendations to optimize and leverage community engagement.
  • Responsible for organizational, process-management, and ability to monitor data-analysis.
  • Provide graphic-design ideas and production support for projects including presentations, in-house brochures and reports, event programs and agendas, briefing materials for Board of Directors meetings, etc.
  • Oversees various tasks throughout development, printing, and dissemination of print publications; serve as one of the primary liaisons with printers and mailing house.
  • Mandatory to communicate directly and accurately to various audiences and media.
  • Essential to work well under pressure and meet established guidelines.
  • Maintaining and increasing community resources available to assist in prevention efforts.
  • Undertake other tasks as assigned and contribute to shared responsibility for fostering excellence at Crossroads.

 

Qualifications:

  • Current CPR/First Aid/Narcan Training.
  • Negative annual TB Test.
  • Successfully pass a background check.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work on a team and on an individual level.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills

 

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3-years or more work experience in a human services field, in communication and marketing, or a related area, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience and understanding of the dynamics of substance abuse, prevention, and the recovery process.

 

Work Environment:

  • Fast paced behavioral health residential setting.
  • Primarily indoors, however, some outdoor work may be requested.


Physical Demands:

  • While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit and speak or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and seldom lift and/or move >100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


Shift Requirements: 

  • Days, nights, weekends, and holidays.


Travel:

  • Valid AZ Driver’s License.
  • May include travel between sites and other locations.
  • Local and statewide travel when requested or required.
