What We Are Looking For:

The Software Engineer Intern’s role is to collaborate with the engineering team in learning, documenting and building our digital platform and its architecture. To ensure success in this role, candidates should have advanced programming skills, experience with web application development, and excellent troubleshooting skills. This is a hybrid role and is required be onsite at our Durham, NC office 3 days a week.

What You Will Do:

· Identifying bottlenecks and improving software efficiency.

· Implement scalable web services, application UIs and APIs.

· Collaborate on documenting digital platform design and architecture.

· Contribute to infrastructure as code using Terraform.

What We Provide:

· Full time (40 hours a week)

· 10-week program (May 28-August 1)

· Hourly pay (starting at $20/hour)

What We Require:

· Well-versed in front-end frameworks, preferably ReactJS.

· Proficient in back-end languages such as Node.js and Typescript.

· Deep understanding of relational database systems.

· Strong familiarity with popular JavaScript libraries and frameworks.

· Strong bias toward action and ownership.

· Exceptional communication skills.

· Experience with agile software development methodologies.

· Currently enrolled at an accredited university or college.
