Join our team as a Machine Operator on the active second shift in our fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is essential for handling, packing, and stacking materials efficiently, ensuring our operations run smoothly and effectively. Responsibilities
- Actively engage in lifting, turning, and bending to handle boxes and rolls weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Operate and manage a paper-converting machine with precision and care.
- Utilize your mechanical abilities to maintain and troubleshoot machinery to prevent downtime and ensure continuous productivity.
- Efficiently pack various materials such as paper rolls and cotton fibers, preparing them for shipment.
- Methodically stack completed orders on pallets, maintaining order and accuracy.
- Maneuver through storage areas with a pallet jack to organize and transport goods.
- Learn and operate advanced packaging machines like Casetapers and Stretchwrappers, enhancing your technical skills.
- Read and accurately interpret part numbers and quantities to ensure precise processing of orders.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and engage in physical activities necessary for production.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus
- Strong work ethic, commitment to productivity, and efficiency in a fast-paced setting.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly preferred; Spanish-only speakers are also encouraged to apply.
- Must have personal transportation.
- Strong adherence to punctuality and attendance policies.
- Willingness to work mandatory overtime, including weekends during peak inventory periods.
- Regular handling of heavy materials and operation of machinery.
- Frequent lifting, bending, and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Continuous operation of production machinery and material handling equipment.
