Parts Supervisor

The Parts Supervisor is a vital role in our organization, responsible for overseeing various aspects of the parts department, including inventory management, customer service, and team leadership. This position plays a key role in ensuring the availability of essential parts and accessories for our customers and maintaining efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and order parts and accessories as needed to meet customer demand.
• Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, and evaluate supplier performance.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with parts inquiries, orders, and returns.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise parts department staff, including parts specialists and warehouse personnel.
• Financial Management: Develop and manage the parts department budget, control expenses, and optimize revenue.
• Parts Catalog: Maintain an organized and up-to-date parts catalog, ensuring accurate product information.
• Quality Control: Implement quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and condition of parts received and shipped.
• Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on parts sales, inventory turnover, and department performance.
• Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote parts and accessories through various channels.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards in the parts department.

• Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in parts management or a related industry role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Financial acumen and budget management experience.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and technology.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of boat parts and accessories (preferred).
• Familiarity with parts cataloging systems and boat software (preferred).
• Ability to lift and move heavy parts when necessary.

Position Type:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday but are flexible based on need.
