Job Summary: The role of the Accounting Associate will be to prepare, evaluate and finalize daily production cost activities and to interact with plant management; identifying, defining, and offering suggested resolutions to any process-problem areas as they become known. The Associate will work with the Controller and the Senior Accountant to prepare period-ending financial results and projections in alignment with the clients’ objectives and identified growth plan(s).

Job Functions:

Daily preparation of production costing activities; including the collection of data, data input, data verification and comprehensive evaluation of a finalized shop floor costing.
Raw material audit and reconciliation.
Ensure timely manner of all period’s financial analytics.
Coordinate each period’s price list updates.
Work with Controller to develop new and improve existing reporting capabilities.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
High attention to detail
Ability to research issues and troubleshoot
Comfortable working with numbers
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service skills

Education and Experience:

1-3 years of experience in accounting or equivalent business experience
Demonstrated ability to understand complex accounting processes and employee effective auditing/drill down capabilities.
Experience in Accounting (Microsoft Dynamics NAV) (Local ERP/Financial Systems)
Experience in major ERP systems implementation preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Hearing ability for verbal communication
Clear concise speaking ability to provide information and instruction
Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
Manual and tactile dexterity for palpation use of computer keyboard/typing, writing, handling/sorting Objects and forms.
Flexibility and body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling, standing reaching, lifting and moving objects and equipment (approximately 10lbs or more with assistance), sitting
