Environmental Project Manager - Miami Dade/Broward County

The Technical Services division of GB (GBTS) is looking to hire an Environmental Project Manager to work and support the for the Environmental/Industrial Hygiene practice area in Central Miami Dade County and/or Broward County.  The Environmental Project Manager will provide environmental technical services to clients as well as environmental site surveys, site investigations, and project management/oversight for asbestos, lead, and mold remediation projects. The position will include field assessment/sampling, research, and report preparation. 

Responsibilities:

• Performs visual site inspections that may require collecting samples; then evaluating analytical data from samples collected and writing comprehensive, technical reports describing the site and the work performed
• Evaluate compliance with regard to state and federal health and safety regulations, laws, rules and codes
• Applies environmental analytical techniques
• May assist senior consultants with more complex environmental projects, data collection, and proposals
• Interfaces effectively with field consultants, management, and client organizations
• Communicate with clients effectively and provide project solutions

The ideal candidate understands and can evaluate compliance with regard to State and Federal health and safety regulations, laws, rules and codes. Understands and applies environmental analytical techniques. May assist senior consultants with more complex environmental projects, data collection, and proposals. Interfaces effectively with field consultants, management, and client organizations. Communicate with clients effectively and provide project solutions.

Qualifications:

Required:  Minimum 1 year of field experience, along with a BA/BS degree in geosciences, environmental sciences, environmental engineering, civil engineering or a related area of study

Preferred:

• Valid State of Florida Asbestos Inspectors License
• Valid State of Florida Asbestos Supervisor License
• Current training certificates in NIOSH 582, and/or Radon technician, and/or IAQ CIEC or Mold Inspector, and/or EPA Lead Paint Inspector/Risk Assessor.
• Valid State Florida Drivers License
• Located in Miami-Dade County or Southern Broward County.
