Job Title: Human Resource Assistant Department: Human Resources
Reports to: HR Manager Effective Date: 04/24/2024
Job Summary: The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support the HR Manager as well effectively and efficiently assist Central payroll office in processing payroll.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Audit weekly payroll reports when necessary
· Maintain employee information (deductions, taxes, garnishments, and direct deposits), reviewing earnings, processing payroll/financial reports.
· Ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll deductions.
· Supports the HR Manager to keep accurate and up-to-date payroll, human resource files, records, and documentation.
· Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR management.
· Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
· Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
· fund employee HSA and 401K contributions weekly.
· Respond to and resolve employee inquiries regarding time and attendance, payroll deductions, over time, garnishments, PTO, pay, etc.
· Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
· Processing of certified payroll on a weekly basis.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Proficient with processing certified payroll.
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel, with intermediate Word and Outlook skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Detailed oriented and able to handle multiple activities, independently and as part of a team.
Education and Experience:
· Associates degree or prior experience in related field required.
· Prior related office experience preferred.
· Payroll: 1 year (required, certified payroll preferred) HR: 1 year (Required)

Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
Pay range $22-$25 DOE
