Production Supervisor

We are working to fill several Operations Supervisor roles with a large heavy manufacturing company in the Cleveland area (44105). These roles will involve leading an hourly unionized workforce on 8 hour shifts - 2nd, 3rd and rotating 12 hour shifts (depending on the department).

Production Supervisor - Operations Supervisor - Manufacturing Supervisor

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring that all EHS policies are followed.
• Solving problems to their root causes to prevent recurrence.
• Maintaining all production and related quality assurance records.
• Providing leadership, direction, and motivation to people in assigned area.
• Managing employee and labor relations effectively including contract administration, grievance handling and day-to-day employee complaints/issues.
• Meeting or exceeding production goals, which includes monitoring output, safety, on time delivery, and people initiatives within a traditional unit supervisor role.
• Owning cost savings initiatives (degree implementation).
• Overseeing the clocking in and out procedures for all hourly crafts persons under their supervision to ensure that the HR Department receives the right information to pay employees correctly and on-time.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

For this position to be successful, the incumbent should have:

• Minimum 3 year of supervisory experience in a unionized heavy manufacturing environment.
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Our client offers a base salary of $80-90K based on experience and education, OT paid in 2 hour blocks, annual bonus 5%, vacation, 11 paid holidays, 401K w/ 6% match and additional 3% non-contributory
