GPS Data Collector

Utility Metering Solutions is seeking a GPS Data Collector for a project in Aurora, Colorado.

Individuals in this position will be expected to perform the following job functions:

Responsibilities include:

• Visiting outdoor meters to take photos
• Accurately entering meter readings into a handheld tablet device, provided by UMS
• Driving your own vehicle to the assigned geographic area; and, walking or driving along the established route to perform data collection duties
• Meeting all completion deadlines
• Focusing on general data integrity and GIS maintenance work
• Performing maintenance, calibration and testing instruments/equipment
• Representing the company in a professional manner
• Maintaining and following required attire and grooming standards
• Follow UMS standards of safety, productivity, and quality of work
• Basic technological equipment skills and attention to detail for ensuring data integrity.
• Highly organized, with excellent time management skills.

The work conditions for this position are as follows:

• Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• Repetitive bending and standing are required
• Work outdoors in all-weather environments, including inclement weather.
• Must wear the Company required uniforms
• Must wear the required PPE while performing job duties, which is provided by the company.

Qualifications:

• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Must have, and maintain, your own reliable vehicle and proof of insurance
• Must be in good physical condition and capable of bending, lifting over 10-15 pounds from ground to waist, and getting in and out of the truck
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must be able to manage time and workload efficiently
• Possess clear written and verbal communication skills
