The Expediter plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely movement of products to meet customer demands. This position involves prioritizing shipments, expediting orders, and monitoring production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure on-time shipment of all orders by prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Review master production schedules and work orders to establish priorities for specific customer orders.
- Monitor engineering and production activities to eliminate delays and adhere to schedules.
- Utilize Cimnet WIP tracking software to generate timely reports and information.
- Assist in implementing changes in production control resources to support on-time delivery.
- Coordinate the flow of production tools and products between teams to enhance workflow.
- Select optimal shipping methods to ensure on-time delivery while minimizing costs.
- Maintain professional communication to meet and exceed customer satisfaction requirements.
- Prepare product completion reports by comparing actual production against scheduled targets.
- Liaise with sales and customer service to provide updates on product status.
- Uphold the company's Vision of Excellence and Values.
- Foster positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Two years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Customer-oriented mindset and ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
- Self-starter with the ability to excel in a dynamic work environment.
- Problem-solving skills within organizational constraints.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Sense of urgency, prioritization, and effective time management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of higher education or relevant experience.
- Knowledge of PCB manufacturing.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
Work Conditions:
The position involves working in both office and manufacturing environments, with potential for extended hours to accommodate multiple shift operations. The noise level is typically moderate, with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
Language Skills:
The ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional publications, industry journals, and technical specifications. Effective presentation skills and the capability to respond to inquiries from managers, clients, and customers.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, and communicate verbally. Sitting, standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms may also be necessary. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
