Graphic Design Intern (Summer 2024)

Reports to: Senior Graphic Designer; Graphic Designer

June – August 2024, 32 hours per week

DineAmic Hospitality is seeking a Graphic Design Summer Intern who has training in digital and print design. The Graphic Design Intern will help develop our corporate and restaurant brand messages in all visual communications. They will learn all the skills necessary to be a graphic designer in a restaurant company. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of design principles across both digital and print formats, with career aspirations in the restaurant & hospitality industry. Candidates should be professional, creative, confident, and hardworking.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS + RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work alongside DineAmic Graphic Design team on all design needs: email marketing campaigns, menus, packaging, point of sale materials, website edits, social media content, signage, promotional materials, catering brochures, flyers, business cards and more
• Prepare press-ready files and develop various formats of production-ready artwork
• Print and distribute materials to DineAmic restaurants
• Participate in meetings with marketing team to understand creative process from start to finish

QUALIFICATIONS

• Innovative, passionate, forward-thinking and creative with a great eye for
• Highly motivated, self-directed and able to work independently with direction from managers. A quick learner and problem solver
• Can handle multiple projects at once, adhere to quick deadlines, and work with multiple mediums
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written) and time management & organizational skills
• Possesses critical thinking skills and is continuously open to constructive, developmental feedback from managers

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Degree in process: Design and Visual Communication, Communications Design or Fine Arts
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
• Experience with motion graphics, digital illustration, photo retouching and front-end website design a plus.
• Comfortable using project management tool such as Asana.
