Assistant Director of Nursing

Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing clinical support for staff use of Electronic Medical Record, in conjunction with Information Technology Department
• Maintain superior clinical skills in the dialysis setting and provide hands-on clinical support in clinics as assigned by
• Director of Education and Training
• Act as a mentor and role model for all staff
• Conduct educational programs for external entities as assigned by Director of Education and Training
• Identify learning needs of various units and make recommendations to Director of Education and Training and clinic Management Staff
• Prepare written and verbal reports for Director of Acute Services, Director of Education and Training, Vice President for
• Clinical Services, and various other ADMS management staff as needed
• Assist with implementation and supervision of Preceptor Program
• Identify promising staff members and mentor along various appropriate career tracks within ADMS
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Education and Training

Job Requires:

• Efficient function as a mobile employee, able to service multiple units
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, turning.
• Occasionally lifts patients/objects from 100 lbs. to 150 lbs.
• Occasionally pushes objects up to 150 lbs.
• Occasional Sitting
• Occasionally lifts with assistance, objects greater than 150 lbs.
• Occasionally carries objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Competence with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint
