PT Mail Room Clerk

Job Summary:

The Mailroom Clerk will process incoming and outgoing mail for the company while adhering to all company, state, and federal regulations.

Monday- Friday between the hours of 8am and 5:30pm.

$15/ hr.

Supervisor: Mailroom Manager

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain confidentiality
• Help with Mail errands; dropping off mail at USPS Downtown Columbia.
• Prep, sort, process, and deliver all incoming mail by department in a timely manner
• Pick up departmental mail from various locations around office
• Process outgoing mail to individuals, places, and courts
• Process Certified, Certified Restricted, USPS Priority, and FedEx outgoing mail to individuals, places, and courts
• Operate mail machines including; Postage meter, Industrial scanning machine, Photocopying Printer, Mail folding/inserting machine.
• Maintain records of specific mail, checks, documents, tracking numbers, and other required information
• Stock supplies needed for Mailroom/ the office
• Handle physical check payments
• Help train new Mailroom employees
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in office procedures and machinery
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work as a team as well as independently

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
